Greetings Bozeman Poets and lovers of Poetry!

There is a whole bunch to tell!

First, Open Mic at the Country Bookshelf

is tonight from 6:00-8:00. Bring your art and share it with us, and find out how you can get involved with all that BPC has going on!

Second, Dead Poets Slam

is Friday, October 26th at Townshend’s Bozeman Teahouse! This will be our fourth year of DPS and we couldn’t be happier! We still need people to participate, so if you’re even mildly interested, please check out our DPS page for more info or get ahold of Kelly Mullins or Jon Rudd.

Third, Speaking of Seizures

we are producing our very first fundraiser. November is Epilepsy awareness month, so we are raising funds (for Citizens United for Research in Epilepsy) and awareness through art and poetry. If you are interested in participating, please contact us.

We are also accepting sponsorships for this event as well. Sponsorship packages include monetary as well as in-kind (or combination of) donations:

  • Gold level – What we need: A donation of items for our silent auction – what you get: your business name on all ad media for the event as well as gratuity plugs during the event
  • Platinum level – What we need: Cash or in-kind* (or combination) donation up to between $100.00 and $500.00 – what you get: Gold Level rewards, plus a booth at the main event
  • Purple level – What we need: Cash or in-kind* (or combination) donations over $500.00 – what you get: Platinum level rewards, plus gratuity plugs on BPC ad media/events for a year.

What happens with your sponsorship money? Operational costs of the event (including costs of promotional material) will be taken from the pool and 100% of remaining money will be donated to CURE with a list of all contributing sponsors. The BPC will take NO funds. We will total up the costs of the event and divide expenses evenly among all cash donating sponsors and the excess of your donation will go to CURE. CURE will provide a letter of guarantee that these funds are going to them. The BPC will provide an event expense report upon request after the donations have been sent to CURE and every sponsor will receive a receipt letter from the BPC detailing the donation that was made on their behalf.

Fourth, Winter Slam

Tentatively set for January 25th at Verge Theater. This is still in the planning phase, but if you’re interested in being part of the team, please contact us.

Fifth, Poetry for Pi[e]

A fundraiser for the Gallatin Valley Foodbank has been set for Pi-day (March 14th, 2019).  This is still in the planning phase, but if you’re interested in being part of the team, please contact us.
