Greetings Bozeman area Poets and lovers of Poetry!

Our 4th annual Dead Poets Slam at Townshend’s Bozeman Teahouse went off successfully! We all had a lot of fun and we are so grateful to Melissa and Scott for making their awesome space available for this event (as well as our monthly open mic), and we are looking forward to next year! Stop in, have a delicious cup of tea and tell them thank you!

Our next event is Speaking of Seizures, on January 10th at Eagle Mount to benefit Citizens United for Research in Epilepsy. Things are shaping up to make this an amazing event to raise funds and awareness for Epilepsy in our community.

We still need help!

If you have been wondering how to contribute to this event, here are some ways you can get involved:

  1. 1) We need voices. If you have a story about Epilepsy, Seizures, Caretaking, Mental Health, or anything that can be related to the world of Epilepsy, we want to give you a safe space to share! Please get ahold of us at and let us know you are interested in sharing your story. If you have a story and do not want to read it yourself, we would be happy to read it for you!
  2. 2) We need items for our silent auction. Local businesses and community members have been so generous, but we still need more items. We have art, gift cards, gift baskets, and a wide collection of other items available. We’ll post a full list of items to the event webpage a few days prior to the event so you can browse what you’d like to bid on, but if you have some cool valuables, art, or, well… anything at all, please consider donating it to the BPC for this event. We will list you as a sponsor for the event (unless you wish to remain anonymous.
  3. 3) We need cash. We will likely be cooking food for this event all day, but we lack funds for ingredients. So, if you would like to donate ingredients or cash for ingredients, we would be grateful.
  4. 4) We need you. If you have any other way in which you would like to participate, please get ahold of us! Other than that, please come lend a hand cooking, setting up between 1:00 and 5:00. And mark your calendars and set reminders for the main event at 5:00PM. (Bring your friends and neighbors too!!!)

This event is in partnership with CURE, so all donations are tax deductible and we can provide you with a receipt upon request as well as CURE’s tax id.
