Speaking of Seizures will be held on November 10th, 2018 at Eagle Mount at 6901 Goldenstein Ln, Bozeman, MT 5971 in Bozeman at 5:00 PM.
November is National Epilepsy Awareness month and the Bozeman Poetry Collective is producing our first annual fundraiser for Citizens United for Research in Epilepsy (CURE)! Art and awareness meet to bring epilepsy out of the dark and into the street. Speaking of Seizures will feature poetry and informational talks about epilepsy and seizure first aid. One in twenty-six people will have a seizure in their lifetime, yet research in epilepsy remains one of the least funded diseases. It is up to independent fundraisers like Speaking of Seizures to bring awareness.
The event will feature a silent auction filled with amazing items generously donated by area businesses and individuals. The auction will be open starting at 1:00PM at Eagle Mount and everyone is invited to come and place bids throughout the day while we set up and cook for the event.
Cost is FREE! We ask for a $5.00 (or more) suggested donation, but no one will be turned away if you cannot.
We still need voices and stories present at the mic and will accept any and all contributions. If you are unsure about telling your story yourself, we will happily read it for you at whatever level of anonymity you desire. If you’d like to send us your story, please send it to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Please come and show your support for CURE while being entertained.
