Month: November 2018

Donation to CURE

I cannot express how gratifying it is to share this. From our fundraiser (so far…), we just made a donation to Citizens United for Research in Epilepsy in the amount of

Thank you to all who volunteered their time (and money) to help put on Speaking of Seizures. It was a success and we could not have done it without the dedication and friendship that is found in our beautiful little poetry community.

We have leftover items from the silent auction and since the whole month of November is dedicated to raising awareness about epilepsy, we have decided to keep the auction going. I’d like to make another donation at the end of the month. If you see something you want, please email us a bid and item number. As an incentive to raise as much as we can, we’re not going to post bids, so this part of the auction is going to be silent AND blind.

Speaking of Seizures in the News

This morning, I got an email from, Kate, our contact from Citizens United for Research in Epilepsy (CURE) wishing us luck on Speaking of Seizures. In the email, she said the article in the Bozeman Daily Chronicle was amazing.

We have been so busy working on this project, that it had slipped my mind that Rachel Hergett was writing something for the paper on SoS. I read the article and teared up. Thank you Rachel!

Today is the last day before the event. We have a few more items to add to the auction page. We’ll be downtown handing out quarter flyers.

Please take time tomorrow and come hang out with us at 5:00 at Eagle Mount (6901 Goldenstein Ln, Bozeman, MT 59715) and learn about epilepsy. It affects you (or it will). You should know what to do, what it is and help us raise funds for CURE.
